Stella Rose Tarlin
Stella Tarlin is an aspiring writer from just outside of Chicago, Illinois. She’s in her third year as a writing major at UIowa, and when she’s not in class, you can find her playing trumpet in the Hawkeye Marching Band, working with Horizon Magazine and the English Society, or at home drawing, writing, or listening to yet another podcast.
Malcolm MacDougal
Malcolm MacDougall is a writer and a poet who draws on his experience as a queer man growing up in Catholic Midwestern culture. In his spare time, he farms, embroiders, and works as a marketing analyst. He lives in Cedar Rapids with his fiancee, three to twenty-five rabbits, and approximately two thousand dermestid beetles.

Selveyah is double majoring in Ethics and Public Policy and Theatre Arts with a love for activism and writing. Her main goal is to try to share her own experiences as a BIPOC and hopefully help other underrepresented students feel comfortable sharing their experiences as well.

Gigi Bell is majoring in English & creative writing, screenwriting, and marketing at the University of Iowa. When she isn’t writing stories about rock stars and complicated women, she likes to watch Mad Men and listen to David Bowie (her favorite album of his is Aladdin Sane).
Cailin Hall
Cailin Hall is a third year Graphic Design BFA with a minor in Dance. She works as the Graphics Intern at the Iowa City Public Library. When she’s not designing, she enjoys drawing, hiking, making obscure Pinterest boards, and playing Stardew Valley. She also considers herself an expert at making soups in Crockpots. Caroline Meek
Caroline Meek is a queer, environmentally-concerned poet from Kansas City, Kansas. She’s currently in her last semester at the University of Iowa, and she’ll graduate with an English & Creative Writing major and seventy-five houseplants. Alexander Fox
Alex is a senior printmaking BFA student who plans to graduate with honors and a certificate in entrepreneurial management this spring. A lot of his work is abstract in nature, and for these particular pieces he was inspired by the Black Lives Matter protests over the summer that highlighted the dysfunction that lies in our police force and government. Hailing from Bulgaria, it is very important for Alex to connect with his heritage which is why every piece is titled in Bulgarian as a way to include his background into his artistic endeavors. He plans to move to Chicago after graduation to continue his art practices.

Hannah Barrett
Hannah Barrett, from Orange County, California, is a freshman at the University of Iowa currently studying basically everything with a minor in religious studies. She has been writing poetry and prose for as long as she can remember, most of which focuses on her relationships to those around her and how she interacts with the world. Outside of writing, she loves to play cello, read, and dress vaguely like Adam Sandler (if he wore more beige.)

Christopher Wayne
Christopher Wayne is a senior at the University of Iowa where he studies English & Creative Writing with the hopes of some day teaching High School English. Though he has been away for almost a decade, Christopher still has an affinity for the place of his birth and often writes of the lush green hills, rocky coast, granite mountains, and people that make New England home. "News of Deliverance" is one such instance.

Carmela Furio
Carmela Furio is a student at the University of Iowa studying publishing and Italian. She's a designer for earthwords: the undergraduate literary review and Wilder Things Magazine, as well as a translator for the Translate Iowa Project. She's also an avid dreamer. You can find her in her bed quite literally blasting Lauv and staring at fairy lights in the dark.
