Cailin Hall

Cailin Hall is a third year Graphic Design BFA with a minor in Dance. She works as the Graphics Intern at the Iowa City Public Library. Caroline Meek

Caroline Meek is a queer, environmentally-concerned poet from Kansas City, Kansas. She’s currently in her last semester at the University of Iowa, and she’ll graduate with an English & Creative Writing major and seventy-five houseplants. You can find her at your local Ace Hardware store buying bags of soil –– or on Twitter @carolinedmeek.

Alexander Fox

Alex is a senior printmaking BFA student who plans to graduate with honors and a certificate in entrepreneurial management this spring. A lot of his work is abstract in nature, and for these particular pieces he was inspired by the Black Lives Matter protests over the summer that highlighted the dysfunction that lies in our police force and government. Hailing from Bulgaria, it is very important for Alex to connect with his heritage which is why every piece is titled in Bulgarian as a way to include his background into his artistic endeavors. He plans to move to Chicago after graduation to continue his art practices.

Outside of writing, she loves to play cello, read, and dress vaguely like Adam Sandler (if he wore more beige.)

"News of Deliverance" is one such instance.

Madi Tarbox

Madi Tarbox is a 4th year BFA student at The University of Iowa studying Graphic Design. Design has led her to find a new interest in photography and she continues to explore her photographic and design style! This is her first semester being a part of Fools Magazine!

She's a designer for earthwords: the undergraduate literary review and Wilder Things Magazine, as well as a translator for the Translate Iowa Project. She's also an avid dreamer.
